RNG for you and me

Posted on 25th January 2020

Mostly me though, as I have a serious problem when it comes to choosing things. Take my YouTube "watch later" playlist for example, right now it stands at a total of 564 unwatched videos!

Whenever I see something interesting pop up in a tweet, or reddit thread, or when I'm scrolling through my subscriptions, I will constantly add things to this playlist in the hopes of one day returning to it.

Faced with so much choice, I end up caving and never picking anything specific to watch, I need some kind of arbitrator to choose for me! So, I decided to flex my React learning skills and make myself a random number generator tool. Yes, I am aware there are services out there already that do things like this (random.org springs to mind), but this is just a learning experience for myself.

I've added the tool to my new "Experiments" page, so if you need to pick a number between X and Y, feel free to try it out for yourself.
